Pigs as model of human disease
Pigs and humans have similarities in anatomy and physiology in both heart and brain, some of the reasons why we successfully study human disease in pigs.
In The Pig Model Network we disseminate methods and expertise, and promote cooperation between individual researchers and research groups within porcine translational research. We discuss data and the optimal use of data, and welfare issues in pig modeling. The network is open for all researchers in the field.
