Cardiovascular and Molecular Physiology
The research group is specialized in cardiovascular physiology of animals and humans with particular focus on ion channel function and signalling in the cardiovascular system. The research group counts 3 senior scientists and 10-15 postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students - and comprises 3 laboratories:
- The Laboratory for Molecular Physiology - Dan Klærke
- The Cellular Electrophysiology Laboratory - Kirstine Calloe
The Research Group is part of Section for Physiology and Nutrition, Department of Veterinary Clinical and Animal Sciences at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The research group is participating in Danish Arrhythmia Research Center (DARC), Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation for Industrial Scale Biomimetics in Sensing and Separation (IBISS, www.ibiss.dk ) and the Equine Cardiac Group (ECG, www.ecg.ku.dk ). We are affiliated with the Danish Cardiovascular Research Academy (dacra.dk ) and a Special Interest Group (SIG) within Vascular Physiology (www.scandphys.org/special-interest-groups/vascular-physiology/).
