1st PAIR Project Scientific Meeting

The first scientific meeting in the PAIR project was on 21 October 2025. Yangfan Liu (UCPH) presented her work on the PANRISK spatiotemporal prediction model for avian influenza in wild birds, poultry and the environment. The model framework covers 43 areas (European countries and islands) and records of 227 bird species at risk. Additionally, land use data, bird habitat use and seasonality is included in the model. The model work will result in a model estimating whether an outbreak of a specified disease is likely or not, and where the risk of new outbreaks is highest.
