Carsten Kirkeby presents HPAI research at Nordic Poultry Conference 2025
Earlier this month, Carsten Kirkeby from Copenhagen University gave a plenary presentation at the Nordic Poultry Conference 2025 in Oslo, hosted by the Norwegian Poultry Association. The presentation, titled “HPAIV Dynamics and Detection: Epidemic Spread, Risk Factors, and Research-Based Early Warning Systems” focused on the current situation in the Nordic countries with widespread outbreaks in wild birds and poultry.
Moreover, Carsten presented how research-based tools can support earlier detection and better decision-making in the field. The presentation was part of the conference’s closing programme, which also included an update on HPAI vaccination of ducks in France, sharing the experiences with vaccination campaigns and protection against outbreaks.
