Carsten Kirkeby visited the Disease Ecology Lab at the University of Sydney for two weeks in April-May 2026, where Sandra Carapeto is currently on an external research stay.

During the visit, a meeting with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry was held in Canberra. The visit strengthened collaboration between the Avian Influenza Epidemiology group and the Disease Ecology Lab, and laid the groundwork for future joint activities.
