Overall, the prudent use of antimicrobials was a major theme throughout the conference.
The Nordic approach to antibiotic use, along with our well‑established Nordic mastitis research network, received significant attention on the program.

Surrounded by familiar faces, former colleagues, and long‑time collaborators, Nadja and Line were updated on udder health and proper milk harvesting. Researchers from all over the world presented their ongoing studies, and there were extensive discussions on the status and management of mastitis, dry cow therapy, and the emergence of specific mastitis pathogens.
We hope to continue the discussions within the Nordic mastitis network at our next meeting – hosted in Copenhagen, on August 24-25, 2026.
