EU-Jamrai2

JAMRAI 2 (Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections) is a European initiative aimed at strengthening the response to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and improving infection prevention and control across European member states and associated countries.

The University of Copenhagen, through the OHAR group led by Professor Luca Guardabassi and Associate Professor Peter Damborg, is actively involved in this effort, contributing to Work Packages 6 - task 6.2 (Define Antimicrobial Stewardship programs for food-producing and companion animals), WP 7 - task 7.2 (Improve the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) actions with One Health approach), and WP 8 - task 8.2 (EARS-Vet: European AMR Surveillance network in Veterinary medicine), in close collaboration with Statens Serum Institut (SSI) and international partners.

The project aims to implement concrete actions to monitor, prevent, and effectively tackle AMR across human, animal, and environmental health domains. It is grounded in evidence-based strategies, One Health approaches, and policy recommendations. JAMRAI 2 is co-founded by member states and EU4Health programme of the EU.
