Congratulations to Dr. Liu

On 24 October 2024, Yangfan Liu defended her thesis entitled “Spatiotemporal Modelling and Risk Evaluation of Avian Influenza Spreading in a Multi-host System in Denmark”. In the assessment committee were Dr. Jose Gonzales (Wageningen University and Research), Ole Roland Therkildsen (Aarhus University) and Professor Søren Saxmose Nielsen. Yangfan presented her thesis at first, followed by questions from the assessment committee.
Both during the defense and at the reception afterwards, there were great discussions on the topic, involving many different research fields, including general epidemiology, avian influenza transmission, ecological modelling methods, politics, bird behavior and One Health.
