Avian influenza poses significant challenges to animal welfare, food security, and public health, affecting both wild birds and poultry flocks. In the ENIGMA project at the University of Copenhagen, our objective is to develop models that enhance our understanding and management of avian influenza outbreaks. Based on a recently published prediction model (Kjær et al. 2023) and WOAH-WAHIS data, we have created a free online tool for assessing the risk of outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza three weeks ahead, for individual countries within Europe, and for the entire European region.
