Integrating Point-of-Care Diagnostics and Epidemiological Modeling

The avian influenza epidemiology subgroup is participating in the new ambitious EU-funded project, uniting 20 partners from 7 countries in a five-year initiative. The focus of the project is on advancing Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostics and combine it with epidemiological modeling.

Project Coordinator Carsten Kirkeby highlights that the project “is embracing the One Health approach, with the aim to enhance expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning for the development of sophisticated point-of-care systems and prognostic models, to prevent the next epidemic”.
