International Conference on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance
Prof. Luca Guardabassi and his OHAR group organized the 3rd edition of the International Conference on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (ICOHAR) hosted by the University of Copenhagen and supported by the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID).
This was a truly One Health event bringing together scientists, professionals and stakeholders from different sectors and disciplines, leading to the participation by over 120 delegates from 25 countries. The programme included an inaugural speech by the rector Henrik Wegener and talks by prestigious speakers such as Till Bachmann (Edinburgh University), Lothar Wieler (Robert Koch Institute), Tine Rikke Jørgensen (WHO), Frank Aarestrup (DTU), Joakim Larsson (Uppsala University), Marc Stegger (SSI), Edward Feil (University of Bath), Constance Schultsz (Amsterdam University Medical Hospital) and Ed Kuijper (Leiden University Medical Centre) among the others.
Notably, two members of the OHAR group member were awarded during the conference. Lawrence Cohen was selected as the best abstract for oral presentation and Mattia Pirolo received the award for the best poster presentation.
