The ENIGMA2 project is a veterinary contingency project in the DKVET consortium, funded by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.

The PAIR project addresses the critical need to integrate rapid testing and comprehensive modeling for effective pandemic decision-making. In the PAIR project, we will develop a Point of Care Instrument (PANPOC) for rapid detection of respiratory RNA viruses including Influenza A/B and SARS-CoV-2.

In Denmark, outbreaks of avian influenza have increased in recent years, both in wild birds and in poultry flocks. This has led to the culling of many flocks, with devastating economic impact. Research is needed to identify areas and periods with higher risk. Furthermore, a better understanding of the factors driving the Danish outbreaks is needed.

Swine influenza is a highly contagious respiratory disease in pigs caused by influenza A viruses (swIAV) which leads to production losses. The intensification of pork production systems and free livestock movement across borders fosters the spread of the virus in Europe. Read more about ESFLU

Èt-års projekt finansieret af Kvægafgiftsfonden og Mælkeafgiftsfonden (2022)

Formål

Formålet med projektet er at skabe grundlag for samt at iværksætte aktiviteter, der medvirker til øget robusthed, sundhed og produktion i kalveopdrættet på alle niveauer i såvel malkekvægs- som slagtekalve-besætninger. Det vil ske ved at øge opmærksomheden, forståelsen og opfattelserne af kalvenes behov ude i produktionen hos bedriftsejere og medarbejderne, der arbejder med kalvepasning- og fodring til daglig.
